| Well here we were in Silicon Valley to once again bear witness to the unique entertainment we call The HTQ Contest. I wore my LuMinaria hair from Portland ( four foot high carved and painted styrofoam candle flame do )and entered with Virginia and our contestant, " Mannequin Skywalker ". Our intention was to win the contest with the first inanimate object, a non-anatomically correct blow-up doll. The contest was hosted by one very worried Tami and she was joined by Amy U. The contest proceeded and included TOO MANY lip synced numbers by the reigning queen Lily White and the biggest bottle of gin backstage that I have ever seen at any HTQ. But, I digress. The evenings entertainment also included a poem from the ever present Ima Cornholer. Virginia, " Mannequin " and Lu Minaria were voted off by audience applause and departed the stage. At this point, Miss Debbie Ceder ( contestamt name ?? ) took to the runway for her bit. Sadly, she took a tumble off of the riser and required a visit with a real doctor that evening. At this point, Miss The Amazing Cow Patty did her rope trick and sealed the deal. Long live the Queen ! |
